According to the Colorado Association for Recycling, Colorado’s recycling rate is currently at 11%, while the rest of the country is at 34%. Additionally, the “solid waste data and reports” coordinated by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment show that the total waste generated in Colorado in 2016 was a staggering 14,363,125 tons[1]. Of that waste, only 44.4% was diverted from landfills, which left 7,983,521 tons undiverted and unrecycled. A collaboration with PPR helps to reduce this number by providing easy plastic waste disposal, which for many companies, saves the expense and negative environmental impact of a landfill.
